2018 PNWFPA's 30th Annual
John J. Bodor Sheriff's Fire Police Seminar
Part I
04/04/18

Presenters the first evening were from the Putnam County Sheriff's Office, Deputy Boscia, Sgt. Monroe and Investigator Dan Hunsberger. The very informative and timely topic was Civilian Response to Active Shooter Events (CRASE).
There were a number of new members who received their membership cards this evening. Just prior to the break, the group was addressed by County Clerk Michael Bartolotti and State Assemblyman Kevin Byrne. As always, the break snacks were well received. However, if you look at one of the photos from the break room, you will notice one member who apparently was unable to survive the long wait for sustenance.
As always, the 50 / 50 raffle was a great success, with a couple of members happy they attended the meeting.

John J. Bodor Sheriff's Fire Police Seminar
Part II
04/11/18
The second half of the 2018 John J. Bodor Sheriff's Seminar opened at 7:00 PM on April 11. The Seminar was opened with a welcome by President Marilyn Miller, who also led the group in the Pledge of Allegiance. The invocation was offered by PNWFPA Chaplain Louis Metty of Continental Village F.D. The group was also welcomed by Putnam County Undersheriff Michael Corrigan, and State Senator Sue Serino, with an all too brief appearance by 1st Sgt Bill Meyer. The principal speaker for the evening was Putnam County Deputy Sheriff Sergeant William Quick, who spoke on the topic of Fire Police: Crash Scene Safety and Evidence Collection. As usual, a break gave all members an opportunity to snack and enjoy some informal conversation. The evening ended with a drawing.
